One thing I love about Kuala Lumpur is their trains. The rail system is the heart of public transport in Kuala Lumpur. It is a cheap way to travel from one place to another. The streets of KL can get pretty congested at times, much like Manila, thus the train is a practical alternative to cars and buses. I would dare say to anyone reading this that taxi drivers have the tendency to overprice so as much as possible I refrain from hailing a taxi cab when I am in KL.

This is one of the coaches of the KL Monorail. More than RM1 billion was spent to construct this line from KL Sentral to Titiwangsa. This traverses inside the city of KL and all stations are above ground. This photo was taken near the Imbi Station (near Berjaya Times Square in Jalan Imbi.) |

I took this photo at the KL Sentral Station. The track shown here is going to Port Klang. |

Inside the KTM Komuter train on our way to Batu Caves. See how clean the coach is compared to a train coach in Manila? |

Here's another shot of the KL Monorail near the Bukit Bintang station, probably one of the busiest thoroughfares in Kuala Lumpur. This is the shopping district. |

This is a picture of the KLIA Ekspres at KL Sentral. This goes directly to the KL International Airport. |

I took this photo near the Salak Tinggi station on our way to the airport. Does anyone know the name of the flowering tree that resembled the cherry blossoms? Anyway, Salak Tinggi is where you alight to board a bus going to the KLIA-Low Cost Carrier Terminal. You need to pay RM12.50 from KL Sentral for the whole trip. |

Here's a picture of Christian and our bags while waiting for our train going to the airport. |
