64th Primetime Emmy Awards: Gowns I Love

I was not able to watch the live telecast of the 64th Primetime Emmy Awards but I was able to catch up on online articles and features. I love watching Red Carpet arrivals mainly because of the gowns that these personalities wear. I live vicariously through them.

Here are my picks this year:

Oh I love the combination of orange, turquoise and a whole lot of confidence. Leslie Mann definitely wowed in this Naeem Khan gown.

I love this ultra bright dress worn by Nancy O'Dell. It's such a happy color and it suits her.  I just wish she could have worn a gold bangle too.  This is a nice form-fitting dress in crimson hues.

Jane Levy wore a striking blue silk chiffon gown designed by Pamella Roland. This is something that I can picture myself wearing.

This gray J. Mendel dress worn by Emily VanCamp is stunning. I like the chiffon layers. I think this a very safe choice for Emily. I would like to see her in a more colorful and fashion forward design in the future. After all, she's too young to be playing safe in her choices.

Julianne Hough looks so much like a 10-foot tall goddess in this aquamarine gown from  Georges Hobeika Couture. Ryan Seacrest is one lucky guy to have Julianne as an arm candy.

Awwwww Zooey Deschanel! This girly, pastel gown was made by Reem Acra.

Nicole Kidman really became an instant media favorite as soon as she stepped out of her car on to the red carpet. This Antonio Berardi gown made her look updated and fab.

Kate Mara (sister of Rooney Mara) looks ethereal in this Badgley Mischka gown.

Zuhair Murad had Sofia Vergara in mind when he created this show-stopping number.

When the designers of the Emmy's gowns converged, they probably agreed to create leg-baring gowns this year. Statuesque Heidi Klum wowed everyone in this Alexandre Vauthier creation. Girl, if you have it, flaunt it!

Maria Menounos is a thing of beauty in a mermaid-blue strapless gown designed by Filipino fashion designer, Oliver Tolentino.

I love this simple white gown with black belt designed by Jason Wu. Jessica Pare looks effortlessly chic. This is the classic example of "less is more". You can never go wrong with a black and white ensemble.

Have you watched the live telecast? Who's gown did you like best?
