My Travel Wish List for 2014

Wanderlusting! Yes that is currently what I am feeling right now and when this post finally comes up live I maybe am sitting comfortably in my seat 35,000 feet above the ground aboard a Qatar Airways plane from Copenhagen to Qatar. I still can't believe my 28-day vacation is finally over and when we land in Manila on Sunday I will just have a few hours of sleep and I will be back to work again. Bless me if I still remember all my office tools password.

I am not done exploring Europe yet and I feel that what I have done and where I have been thus far is just the beginning of a lifetime journey full of exciting memories and wonderful discoveries. I just wish my mom would understand my need and want to travel more, while I can, while I'm young. I think 2014 will be the year when I try to embark on a solo trip too. Exciting!

Here's where I wish to go in 2014:

THUNDERBIRD RESORTS
Poro Point, La Union, Philippines

I don't have the budget to go to Greece yet so this is the cheapest alternative I could find. I have been wanting to visit this resort and I was so ecstatic when I got an invite from their PR to visit the resort with other bloggers a couple of years ago. Unfortunately, I had one too many meetings at work and a product training that I needed to attend so I respectfully and regretfully declined the invitation. This is definitely in my go to list this year and I hope I can make it happen.

VIGAN CITY
Vigan, Ilocos Sur, Philippines

Just because I love bagnet and I am Ilokano are enough to be reasons why I want to visit Vigan. Vigan is a World Heritage Site as it is one of the few Hispanic towns left in the Philippines. The city is well-known for its cobblestone streets (think of Macau Senado Square) and a unique mix of Philippine and Spanish colonial architecture. That and a plus factor that I would be able to communicate well with the locals.

JAPAN
Tokyo, Japan

I have been wanting to go to Japan for quite some time now and I would be very very happy to witness the blooming of the cherry blossoms. Pink and flowers = perfect combination. Of course, some authentic ramen and sushi on the dining table would be amazing too.

Of course, I want to travel as often as I can and I have a longer list to be honest. However, I will just post 3 places I want to go or I will cause my husband's untimely heart attack. Kidding aside, I will try to shoot for what's possible and not for the stars at this point. If it happens that I would be able to travel to other places then I have no right to complain. I have a Denmark spring 2016 vacation to save for and I think that will be about the same time when we go and visit Poland (Auschwitz-Birkenau) and France (Normandy and Paris).

Where do you want to go this year? Let me know by leaving a comment...
