Oh days just pass all of us by sooooooo fast... Seconds turned to minutes and minutes turned to hours and hours to days and now it's only a matter of hours until we bid farewell to 2012 and welcome 2013 with so much excitement and revelry. I am not over the Christmas rush yet and although I was not able to spend it with my husband, my parents came to visit me. Their presence was enough to fill the void of not having my husband by my side. Christian and I spent our first Christmas together online through pictures and videos and phone calls and chat messages (I tell you we are pros at these modes of communication). My svigermor and svigerfar (mother-in-law and father-in-law) also sent me an email to wish me Glædelig jul(Merry Christmas).
What else cheered me up? Seeing lights and decors that adorned every nook and cranny of the city. I did not put up a Christmas tree this year because I wanted our first Christmas tree to be a joint effort. I am fervently hoping that next year, Christian will be home. So yes, I made myself happy looking at ornaments that trickled the city and lights that illuminated the dark corners its dark corners.
