How I Spent 2012?

2012 has been an awesome year for me. I have made some life-changing decisions, made a few mistakes, met new people and friends, among others. I am so thankful for all the many blessings that have been pouring my way. I have done some things that I maybe pissed people off or disappointed some but at the end of the day, I am happy to end the year with a heart full of happiness with a little space for anger, disappointment and contempt (I am not perfect after all so please cut me some slack). Truth be told, I know that this 2012 I have been true to myself, I have been grateful, I have been honest, I have been forthcoming. I have been hurt and moved on, I have been in a pool of extreme happiness and wallowed for as long as my heart can take, I have forgotten and forgiven.

On this last day of 2012, what I just want to do is to end everything right by reminiscing only the happy memories and remembering the sad events that taught me lessons or just wasted my time and put them in a crevice to never see the light of day once again.

January was spent adjusting to my new job, planning a project that never came to be (which I plan to start again in 2013), planning a trip to Singapore with my then fiance, among other things. I also tried a super fast internet connection around this time that I can only wish for now.

I guess you could tell my January was not eventful enough and I was more excited for what's in store in February. I guess all the planning has made me realize that someone has walked into my life that made me realize love was always worth waiting for. I knew the very first international trip Christian and I took was a test if we can withstand each other and if we ever could be awesome travel buddies ( we were for sure!). We traveled to Singapore and we had so much fun together. While in Singapore, we also had a chance to meet my high school friend and college friend.

March was when our wedding planning was in full swing. It was when we finally decided that we will spend the rest of our lives together. It was when my days and nights were occupied scouring through online wedding blogs, buying every local wedding magazine available and blogging about inspirations on the side too. It was also around this time that I started my interior design blog (which I am trying to revive now).

"The secret of love lies not in the stars but in the hearts of two people who realize they belong together. Chances are, we will all find our true love. When time sets you up to be in someone else's life, dont let it pass you by..."

April was when I conquered my fear of the open sea. I tried SCUBA diving for the very first time and I got quite addicted to it, except that it was such an expensive hobby, a very expensive one indeed. It was an awesome experience though and I would encourage anyone to try it out just to experience the awesome feeling of being underwater.

A sunset like this is a welcome sight after an afternoon of diving in Anilao, Batangas.

Oh yes another diving trip again in May. We were on a roll...

June was my birthday month and it was a little merrier this year as I won a shopping spree (thanks to Nuffnang PH and Zalora). Guess what I was more excited about? Christian's vacation and our trip to Malaysia. We are born to love each other and travel the world together one country at a time. Such mush!

We scheduled our first engagement shoot with Jaja Samaniego in July. It's our first shoot with a professional photographer so we were both excited and nervous at the same time. I am glad Jaja was able to capture some priceless moments.

August saw me cranking up the gears on finishing my DIYs. It was also the time when invitations for our wedding were sent out. I have been extremely busy but it was very fulfilling to say the least.

September - the busiest time of my year. Preps were on the 4th gear, last minute changes on details, supplier follow-ups, gown finishing touches among others.

October - the most awaited month this year!!! I vowed to spend the rest of my life with Christian...

I went back to work as soon as the short honeymoon is over in November. We were not able to travel outside of the country because I was not able to plan it accordingly so we decided to just have a quick escape in a nice countryside. Since I was away for more than 2 weeks from the office, I had so much stuff waiting for me as soon as I got back. I thank God for Christian as he was understanding enough to let me report to work right after our wedding.

December is a blur and the month we all thought that I am pregnant already. Unfortunately, I am not pregnant yet so we have more trying to do when Christian comes back next year. It's our first Christmas together but we are living apart but our constant communication makes it so easy to adjust to the absence. We're both looking forward to being together again soon...

See, my 2012 has been eventful (more memorable than 2011) and I can only be thankful for all the blessings that continue to shower my everyday existence. I am also thankful for all the readers of this blog who has been so supportive all along. I know I have not blogged much this year but I will try to keep you more updated next year. That's a promise I would like to keep...

Let's all welcome 2013 with arms wide open!!!
