I was glued to the telly from the start to the finish of the Oscars 2014 coverage. I enjoyed Ellen's hosting and I like how the whole program made me laugh and cry at some moments. The red carpet arrivals were dominated by the golden and shimmering and dark-colored gowns. There were so many amazing moments really - Ellen handing out pizza to celebrities, the epic selfie, the acceptance speeches among others. I think Ellen DeGeneres should host the Oscars every year.
The 86th Academy Awards was hosted by ELLEN DEGENERES.
Let's start with the gowns I like the most:

CHARLIZE THERON in DIOR
JENNIFER LAWRENCE in DIOR COUTURE
ANGELINA JOLIE-PITT in ELIE SAAB HAUTE COUTURE
CATE BLANCHETT in GIORGIO ARMANI
JULIA ROBERTS in GIVENCHY
AMY ADAMS in GUCCI
ANNE HATHAWAY in GUCCI
JENNA DEWAN-TATUM in REEM ACRA
CHRISSY TIEGEN in MONIQUE LHUILLIER
LUPITA NYONG'O in PRADA
EMMA WATSON in VERA WANG
MARIA MENOUNOS in JOHANNA JOHNSON
And here are snippets of the acceptance speeches:
Matthew McConaughey's thanked God for his Best Performance by an Actor in a Lead Role speech for Dallas Buyer's Club. And of course I loved how he said "Alright, alright, alright!"

Lupita Nyong'o made me tear up with her Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role speech for 12 Years A Slave.
Jared Leto's Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role speech for Dallas Buyer's Club.
I loved the Oscars this year. I hope our local film awards can be half as glamorous as the Oscars and the hosts can be as spontaneous as Ellen and the presenters. I can only wish...Jared Leto's Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role speech for Dallas Buyer's Club.
