More than 12 hours after Malaysian Airlines flight, MH370 (KUL-PEK), lost contact wth the air traffic control, there is still no sign of the Boeing 777 plane. The plane had enough fuel for 9 hours and so that means the plane is no longer flying at this point. No distress signal or message was sent by MH370. It's scary but of course anything is possible until debris will be located. My sister sent me a text message informing me about this and though I do not know anyone in the flight, the news still sent shivers down my spine.

MH370 is a Boeing 777-200 aircraft on a code share with China Southern Airlines. It departed Kuala Lumpur at 12.41 am today for Beijing. The aircraft was scheduled to land at Beijing International Airport at 6.30am local Beijing time. The flight had a total number of 227 passengers and 12 crew members. The passengers were from 14 different countries, most of whom are from China. -Malaysia Airlines

MALAYSIA AIRLINES FLIGHT 370 UPDATE

As of  9:02PM PT, Vietnamese Navy Admiral Ngo Van Phat confirms MH370 has crashed into the Gulf of Thailand 153 miles off of Thu Cho Island.

The flight was a code share with China Southern Airlines CZ748 and more than 150 of the 227 passengers on board are Chinese Nationals. State media are reporting that two rescue boats have been sent into the South China Sea, from the ports of Haikou and Nansha, to assist with the search and rescue effort. - John Sudworth, BBC News Beijing Airport

For now, all we could do is pray that there are survivors as international rescue missions from several neighboring countries are scouring the last known coordinates.
