Last month, I traveled to Southern Mindanao to introduce Christian to my family. As soon as we arrived, we had dinner: 60kg roast pork, dinuguan, grilled milkfish, seaweed salad and mango float for dessert. He enjoyed his first ever Filipino spread. I took a picture of him beside the "lechon" but it was blurry. After that, the kids took the camera away from me and they were the ones snapping pictures of the people who were there and needless to say, I don't have any decent picture to post here.
The next morning, we went to church and then went home to change right after and prepared to go to Lake Sebu in South Cotabato. Here are the pictures:

This was taken at Punta Isla Resort in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato. This huge lake is where the locals grow tilapia. That big fish on top of the cottage by the lake is a tilapia. I am not sure what it's made of. I never got the chance to get close to it. There were several cottages beside the lake but we chose to stay in the elevated area so we can admire the view. |

Checking out the view. Gosh! I'm too short compared to his 6 feet + frame. :-) |

The 2 men in my life: my dad and my boyfriend. :-) This is one of my favorite pictures from the trip. |

The group shot! I love how my family warmly accepted Christian. I did not need to convince them to like him. |
Here are some tilapia dishes we tried for lunch:

Spicy Tilapia Fillet |

Kinilaw na Tilapia with Cucumber Slices |

I forgot what was this but I think this is Paksiw na Tilapia. |

We went to my grandparent's place after lunch and he was warmly accepted too. Everyone asked when the wedding would be and we would just smile. Haha! We have talked about it but we don't have clear plans yet. I am happy that we have gone past one phase and clearly my family likes him. We're looking forward to be able to go back to my parent's when he comes back in July.
